THE Faculty of Engineering of the University of Santo Tomas will boost its research projects through the Professorial Chair Award Donation from Analog Devices Inc.

A memorandum of agreement was formally signed by key officials of the two institutions earlier this month.

A total of P1 million will be given to UST for five years for the initiative.

“ADI has established a longstanding partnership with the University, with the Department of Electronics Engineering being a beneficiary of the support,” the school said.

“The said institution also provided high-performance computational devices, staged training to students and immersion to faculty members, as well as MS-ECE scholarships,” it added.

The donation aims to empower the Faculty of Engineering to undertake research projects.

It will also pave the way for professorial chair lectures that will distinguish a faculty members’ academic excellence and recognize their service to the university.
