CAGAYAN STATE U DEFERS OPENING OF CLASSES
THE CAGAYAN State University moved the opening of classes from August 30 to September 5 owing to the damage wrought by Severe Tropical Storm Florita in the province.
CSU President Dr. Urdujah Alvarado said the postponement of class opening will give the students time to prepare for Academic Year 2022-2023.
“Although we cannot wait to usher in another hopeful and productive Academic year, we hope that these few days will give you the chance to plant your feet firmly as you prepare for the start of the academic year,” Alvarado wrote on her Facebook page.
Several areas in Cagayan were earlier placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3 due to Florita.
At least 589 families or 2,095 individuals were affected by ‘Florita’, according to Cagayan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
