PASIG City Mayor Vico Sotto expressed his appreciation to One Meralco Foundation for helping the local government finance the tuition of four medical students.

“Thank you to our partners, One Meralco Foundation and the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health,” Sotto said in a social media post.

One of the scholars, Alyssa, is a graduate of the Pasig City Science High School. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the Ateneo de Manila University.

Deo finished high school at the Pasig Catholic College. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Central Luzon State University.

Meanwhile, Hannah Ruth graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines Diliman in 2017. She worked in the banking industry, but is now ready to follow her dream of becoming a doctor.

Juan Antonio also graduated from the Pasig City Science High School. He graduated from AdMU as a scholar.

Meralco shouldered the tuition, laptop, internet, books and other miscellaneous fees of the scholars for the duration of their medical school studies for five years. The local government shouldered other recurring fees.
