GRADE 6 STUDENT TO JOIN GLOBAL COMPETITION
A GRADE 6 student from La Salle Green Hills will compete in the Steam Ahead global finals.
Singapore will host the Steam Ahead global finals which will be held online on December 4 and 5.
Calvin Uni Salavante will be joining the online academic contest, which aims to educate and expose students from across the world.
Salavante qualified for the championship after winning gold in the Design Thinking Robotics and Computational Thinking Competition, which focuses on informatics and programming.
He also won silver in the Vanda International Science Competition. It showcases students’ ability to think critically and creatively in order to solve a variety of problems.
Salavante bagged the gold medal for Mind Sports Challenge, bronze for Math Master Mind Competition, and an honorable mention for Math Olympiad Challenge in the 2021 Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge.
