STUDENTS PAY TRIBUTE TO PUPIAN WHO DIED TRYING TO SAVE LAPTOP FROM FIRE
STUDENTS across the country paid tribute to the student of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines who died trying to save her laptop from the fire that hit her residence in Novaliches, Quezon City.
Reports said that graduating student Melanie Trinidad went back to the burning house to save her school files on Tuesday.
She died in the process while her family suffered degree burns.
“Maybe she desperately saved it because her life is in there. Maybe she dedicated most of her time or life [to] that study/research. Maybe she’s on the verge of finishing that research. All maybes but condolences to her family,” one netizen said in a tribute post of University Secret Files.
“[Nakakabahala] ito. Mas inuna nung estudyante ang kanyang laptop, hindi ang buhay niya. Mayroong mali sa sistema sana ayusin ito,” another one added.
Melanie’s peers in the College of Communication are raising funds to help the Trinidad family settle their hospital bills and bury the student.
