IFUGAO STATE U TURNS OVER EQUIPMENT FOR TRAINEES
THE IFUGAO State University turned over equipment for herbal candy production to a group of women in Lamut, Ifugao.
Members of Nayon Women’s Organization who were trained by IFSU’s College of Health Sciences received a basin, aluminum pot, single burner, measuring cups, measuring spoons, fractional cup, stirrer, candy molder, and refilled gas tank.
The training project was based on the Registered Utility Model on Production of Herbal Candy from Lagundi of Lilian Tumapang, Dean of IFSU COHS.
The women were taught how to make herbal candies from Lagundi leaves from scratch. The project aims to sustain the extension program on herbal candy production.
The products were concocted to appeal to children and adults.
