CHED ALLOWS CEU TO HOLD LIMITED F2F CLASSES
THE CENTRO Escolar University will resume face-to-face classes for selected students in the first semester of Academic Year 2021-2022.
The Commission on Higher Education allowed the university to hold in-person classes for its BS Nursing and BS Medical Technology programs and School of Dentistry.
CEU said it received a Certification of Authority from CHED for complying with the guidelines and health protocols to resume physical classes.
Officials of the commission, along with representatives of the Department of Health and the city government of Manila, inspected the retrofitted classrooms in the university last April.
“Our application for limited face-to-face classes has been approved by the Commission on Higher Education, effective until the 1st semester of AY 2021-2022. The Certificates of Authority were signed by Dr. Virginia D. Akiate, CESO III, CHED Director IV,” it said.
CEU President Ma. Cristina Padolina said the school first consulted students and their parents if they want to attend in-person classes.
“Talagang inuna nating kausapin ang mga magulang at mga estudyante para malinaw sa kanila kung ano ang kanilang gagawin. At nag-issue rin kami ng certificate para sa mga estudyante para sila ay makakuha ng bakuna sa kanilang mga respective LGUs,” Padolina said.
Several higher education institutions have also been allowed to hold face-to-face classes for health-related degree programs.
