UST DEPARTMENT OF FILIPINO HOSTS SERIES OF LECTURES IN CELEBRATION OF BUWAN NG WIKA
IN CELEBRATION of Buwan ng Wikang Filipino, the UST Department of Filipino announced the holding of a series of virtual lecture with the theme, “Wika ng Kasaysayan, Kasaysayan ng Wika: Ang mga Katutubomg Wika sa Maka-Filipinong Bayanihan Kontra Pandemya”.
The free lecture series aims to contribute educational topics on the role of Wikang Filipino about translation, literature, and economics amid the Covid19 pandemic.
Asst. Prof. Wennielyn F. Fajilan, PhD, will share her knowledge on translation on August 24 with the title, “Pagsasaling Teknikal Bilang Tugon sa Covid19: Ang Papel ng Pagsasalin sa Panahonng Pandemya.
The lecture will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Meanwhile, two days after on August 26, it’s the turn of Asst. Prof. Ma. Carinnes P. Alejandria, PhD, to address issues of the marginal sector with the title, “Walang Iwanan: Pangangalaga sa mga Bulnerableng Sektor sa Gitna ng Pandemya”.
It will be held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Finally, Asst. Prof. Joselito D. Delos Reyes, PhD, will tackle the role of literature in the midst of the pandemic with the title, “Ang Saysay ng Panitikan sa Pandemya,”
The final lecture is scheduled on August 28 at 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
