THE DAVAO del Sur State College received a P4 million funding from the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office XI for its seeds project.

DSSC said DA tasked the college with the ‘Massive Production and Distribution on Vegetable Seeds and Seedlings Project’.

It added the project is geared towards helping the province’s agriculture sector.

“DA-RFO XI partnered with DSSC to assist the agriculture industry of Davao del Sur in engaging more farmers and even households in producing healthy and safe vegetables in their backyard or farm,” DSSC said on Facebook.

The funds for the project were sourced from the Bayanihan Act II-Stimulus Package for Agriculture Program which aims to assist farmers with their livelihood.

A turnover ceremony was held at the DSSC campus in Mati where representatives from the college and DAR were present.
