CEGP TO HOLD PROTEST TO CALL FOR SAFE RESUMPTION OF F2F CLASSES

/ 27 May 2021

The College Editors Guild of the Philippines is set to hold a protest rally on Friday to call for the safe resumption of face-to-face classes.

Through the rally to be held in front of the Commission on Higher Education office in Diliman, Quezon City, the group seeks to amplify its call for free education for all.

CEGP also called for P10,000 aid for students to help them with their finances.

“As the consultation for tuition and other school fees increase ends tomorrow, we reiterate our call to junk these unnecessary school fees and demand the Duterte regime to heed the students’ demands, especially during the pandemic,” CEGP said on Facebook.

“Rather than submerge the students with the ineffective flexible learning system, it is highly mandated to respond more with free, nationalist, scientific, and mass-oriented ways of education by conducting the necessary steps such as free mass testing, free, safe, and effective vaccines, and student aid for all,” it added.
