SAN BEDA U-CAS APPROVES ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES
The College of Arts and Science in San Beda University will have asynchronous classes from April 8 to 10 in consideration of the appeal of students affected by the Covid19 surge in the National Capital Region.
In a memorandum, CAS Dean Christian Bryan Bustamante said that due to students’ “varied situations,” the school decided to hold asynchronous classes from April 8 to 10.
Faculty members were told to conduct asynchronous sessions, reduce new topics, refrain from giving exams and graded activities, and setting submission deadlines.
However, Accountancy majors will still proceed with their final examinations since their classes will end this week, as scheduled.
The school will issue guidelines and procedures in the conduct of classes and submission of requirements for students who are Covid19 positive, as well as those whose households were afflicted with the virus.
“This is to ensure that students are given academic support and mental health services especially during these trying times,” the school said.
