THE DEPARTMENT of Education will conduct sessions on mental health and psychological support services to learners in typhoon-hit areas in Bicol Region.

Teams will be deployed in typhoon-affected communities from December 7- 11, 2020. They will also distribute food packs and learners’ kits to the beneficiaries.

The sessions will be conducted face-to-face but health protocols such as wearing of face mask and face shield will be strictly followed.

Participants in every session will be limited to 15-20 persons.

The sessions will include music activities, t-shirt art creation, writing and storytelling exercises, and breathing exercises.

The holding of the activities is in line with DepEd’s commitment to help the affected learners and personnel recover from the trauma and distress brought by the typhoons.
