There’s been a surge on freelance work opportunities nowadays because of the new normal that’s been keeping most at home. Many local offices have shifted to work-from-home arrangements, where most have become more in charge of their time, finances, and work hours with the freedom to keep a confidential working discipline alone in their rooms or living spaces. For some, it opens the opportunity to work on side jobs to earn extra on the side. Others find the switch more suited for them therefore shifting from regular jobs to freelance jobs. However, there’s also a rise in unemployment and those affected are more than inclined to take on any opportunity for work.

The Indierectory: Manila’s Directory of Ad Independents is an initiative by independent ideas agency GIGIL, to establish a platform for ad independents and creatives to showcase their work, get projects, and even get hired. With the shift in today’s workforce and disciplines, its goal is to come up with a comprehensive list of ad independents and help freelancers this 2020.
