The long-awaited collegiate event was trimmed down to eight sports tournaments due to the pandemic, but the Espana side still conquered and the overall champion plum.

The tallying of the UAAP points excluded the cheerdance competitions whereas the gold accounts for 15 points,12 for silver, and 10 for bronze, eight for fourth, six for fifth, four for sixth, two for seventh, and one for eighth.

The UST garnered a total of 84 points, mainly built after winning gold medals in Poomsae, men’s 3×3 basketball, men’s beach volleyball, and men’s chess while taking home the silver in women’s 3×3 basketball, fourth place in women’s volleyball, and seventh place in both men’s 5-on-5 basketball and women’s chess.

National University (NU) was in second place after falling short by just three points with an 81-point total, and bagging the gold in the women’s events of volleyball, 3×3 basketball, and chess.

Host De La Salle University (DLSU) placed third with 76 points, while the University of the Philippines (ADMU) came in next with 71, mainly attributed to the Maroons’ drought-title championship in men’s basketball.

Ateneo finished fifth with 58 points, followed by Adamson (42), Far Eastern University (39), and the University of the East (3).

The Red Warriors competed only in men’s basketball and women’s volleyball, where they landed eighth and seventh, respectively.
