“We’re happy na nasa win column na kami. I’m not saying na sobrang lungkot namin ng mga past three games but alam namin na we are going up eh,” coach Oliver Almadro said.
The Lady Tamaraws kept it close midway through the third set, 11-13, but started falling apart as the Blue Eagles racked on a 12-3 run.
Nisperos paced the run, scoring five points featuring back-to-back hits that pushed the Ateneo lead to 21-12 and a pair of aces late that sealed the win for them.
Chen Tagaod top-scored for the Lady Tamaraws again with 10 points while Nikka Ann Medina and Jean Asis finished with four points apiece as FEU dropped to 1-3, tied at fifth place with the Blue Eagles.
