LA SALLE RETURNS TO FINAL FOUR AFTER A ROUGH MATCH AGAINST ADAMSON

La Salle finally secured a seat in the final four after missing out two seasons at the expense of Adamson, 64-51, on Thursday in the UAAP Season 84 men's basketball tournament at Mall of Asia Arena.

The Green Archers and the Soaring Falcons were in a neck-to-neck battle throughout the game as no one was willing to bow down easily with just a one-point lead, 12-13 and 27-26 in the first and second quarters respectively in favor of the Taft side.

The two teams went on a deadlock of 43-all at the start of the final frame, but it was the green and white squad who prevailed as Evan Nelle went on a crucial 8-0 run to pull away from the Soaring Falcons, 51-43, with 5:53 ticks left.

Lojero, later on, ensured that La Salle will be back for a final four-seat as he pushed for a 12-point lead following his two free throws.

Nelle led La Salle with 11 points, five boards, two assists, and two steals, as Lojera scored 10 points and three rebounds, while Justine Baltazar and Michael Phillips contributed a combined score of 10 points, 15 boards, and three blocks.

Adamson had to bid goodbye to their final four chances as they sunk to a 5-8 slate after Jerom Lastimosa paced the team with t 11 points, four rebounds, and three assists, while Tricky Peromingan also got 11 points and eight boards, and Joem Sabandal got eight points.
