With the resignation of former head coach Aldin Ayo, the team is in dire need of more a new tactician to man the bench.

In a report by The Varsitarian, the former court general of UST together with Lo have already submitted his application for an assistant coach position to the Institute of Physical Education and Athletics (IPEA).

Among those who sent their application the coaching position are former Growling Tigers Siot Tanquingcen, Chris Cantonjos, Estong Ballesteros, Ed Cordero, Gilbert Lao, and Potit de Vera, as well as Rain or Shine assistant coach Chris Gavina.

Averaging 8.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists, Fortuna was the main playmaker that led to the dominance of the Growling Tigers bannered by Karim Abdul, Jeric Teng, and Aljon Mariano.

He was also part of the 2013 PBA Rookie Draft where he was picked on the second round by Barako Bull.

Later on, he switched teams with San Miguel where he won two championships. In his four seasons of pro league, Fortuna also saw action for Phoenix and NorthPort.

He was also part of the squad that played for Alab Pilipinas in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL). He last graced the court with Manila Starts in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).
