Soaring Falcons secures Fil-For Gunners Punzalan, Delos Reyes
Adamson Men’s Basketball Team continues the hunt for new gunners as it procured the commitments of Fil-Italian RS Delos Reyes and Fil-Am Adrian Punzalan.
Soaring Falcons head coach Franz Pumaren confirmed to Spin.ph the latest recruits 6-foot Punzalan and 5-foot-11 Delos Reyes.
Delos Reyes, a promising Fil-Italian bruiser, has been playing in a club basketball since he was 12.
Coach Pumaren himself flew to Milan to recruit the 21-year-old athlete who has played for Basketown Milano in Italy’s Serie C, and has suited up for POL SDM from 2012 to 2014 and Milano3 from 2014 to 2020.
“He is not an ordinary high school graduate because of his vast experience,” he added.
While the 6-foot guard Punzalan is expected to be another great asset for the Falcons.
The 21-year-old playmaker already played two years of his college Division in Harper College in Palatine, Illinois in which he has to redshirt for Season 84, having four years left to play.
“Of course, the potential is there. You can say na physically for his position he can help us. Ang haba ng reach niya and he’s tailor-fit in our system,” Coach Pumaren said.
Punzalan averaged 10.8 points and 3.0 rebounds for the Hawks back in 2018-2019 for just five games.
Delos Reyes and Punzalan are expected to begin their UAAP stint in Season 83 and 84 respectively.
The two snipers are just a few of the added names on the list next to Joaquin Jaymalin of Ateneo, Jhon Calisay, and RV Yanes from Technological Institute of the Philippines, and Fil-Italian Roger Syvels delos Reyes.
