SENATOR Francis Tolentino expressed optimism for the success of the Reserve Officers Training Corps Games 2024, highlighting the remarkable increase in the number of cadets participating.
“I think the number of participants now would go beyond 3,000 plus and we were just expecting 1,800 pre-selected cadets,” Tolentino said.
The senator, being the Honorary Chairman of the Philippine Reserve Officers’ Training Corps led the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement for the ROTC Games 2024 Visayas leg in Bacolod City.
Among the distinguished attendees were Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez and Major General Elpidio B. Talja from the Philippine Air Force.
The ROTC Games 2024 Visayas leg promises to be an exciting and enriching experience, bringing together cadets not just from Bacolod City and Negros Occidental but the entire Visayas region.
The Philippine ROTC Games aim to promote the ROTC program as well as to instill discipline, leadership and camaraderie among participants from ROTC units who will be competing in various sports events.
“The goal of the ROTC is to highlight ROTC not just a military training avenue to cadets but as a pathway to patriotism” Sen. Tolentino said.
