JAJA SANTIAGO, AGEO MEDICS BOUNCE BACK, STINGS HISAMITSU IN FOUR-SET GAME
Jaja Santiago together with her squad, Ageo Medics, gave Hisamitsu Springs a taste of defeat, 25-27, 25-21, 25-15, 25-22 in Japan V.League last Sunday at the Panasonic Arena.
It was a redemption of pride for the Saitama-based squad who was beaten black and blue last Saturday in a three-set sweep game of 25-22, 25-23, 25-21.
Hisamitsu won the first set with a two-point deficit but was unable to get the better of Ageo Medics in the second set until the end of the game
Yuka Sato lead the team with 18 points while Mami Uchiseto chipped in another 18 points with four kill blocks.
Santiago, on the other hand, was also able to bounce back from her no score performance to 11 points on eight attacks and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Hisamitsu who dropped from second to third place was powered by Yuka Imamura and Asuka Hamamoto each scored 13 points, while Miyuki Nakagawa added 12.
Now sitting in seventh place, Ageo will be on court again facing Denso Airybees on November 20 and 21.
