/ 10 June 2021

The development was revealed by Regine Tolentino in her Instagram post sharing her excitement for the sporting competition as one of its judges.

However the cheerleading competition this year will be having a different format for the upcoming NCAA season.

The participating schools will be only sending a pair of cheerleaders and will be performing a two-minute routine.

Each day, two schools will be pitted against each other in the first round, with the winner advancing to the second round.

The top five pairs from the first round will compete in a dance competition, with the winner crowned cheerleading champion.

Virtual chess, poomsae, speed kicking, and basketball and volleyball skills competitions will also be held by the league for the upcoming season 96 that will kick off this June 13.
