Abueva “The Beast” has been indefinitely suspended last June 2019 due to multiple infractions and misconduct.

Due to the on-court incidents, PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial sanctioned him to undergo counseling sessions, fulfill community service, and take a drug test.

Now, Abueva is eligible to take part in the PBA games provided that he will be able to complete all the requirements stipulated by the league in lifting his suspension.

In the process of reclaiming his license back, the 32-year-old Abueva was required to attend a virtual seminar on the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards of a Professional Athlete, as well as taking a mandatory drug test hosted by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) inside the bubble in Pampanga.

The online seminar Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards of a Professional Athlete has three parts. Abueva has already begun with the first part.

According to GAB Chairman Baham Mitra, the basketball star is currently carrying out all the requirements set for him to finally rack-up his professional license back after having his 15 months suspension.

In hopes for the reinstatement of Abueva’s pro license, Fuel Masters has yet to declare if Abueva has given green-light to play with Phoenix as they come in opposition with Meralco Bolts in their first game on October 12, Monday.
