BREN ESPORTS ANNOUNCES KARLTZY SUDDEN DEPARTURE

Bren Esports and Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno have parted ways as the former shared the announcement through Facebook.

/ 7 December 2021

The 17-year-old Karltzy was one of the key players of Bren Esports who led the franchise to the MPL Philippines Season Six title and the M2 World Championship.

They are the first Filipino squad to win a world title, however, they failed to carry on by being eliminated by Execration in the Season 7 playoffs.

And their downhill performance continued after missing the playoffs in Season Eight,  finishing with a disappointing 5-9 record — good for seventh.

Thereafter, Karltzy, dubbed by the team as “one of the best MLBB junglers in the scene”, as well as “living proof that one can achieve so much at such young age” chose to leave in pursuit of other “possible opportunities”.

“Karltzy, as of the moment, has decided to branch out for possible opportunities outside of Bren Esports,” said the team in an announcement on Facebook.

Even though KarlTzy is the third player to leave Bren after Raven “L3bron” Alonso and Dwine “Rimuru” Enriquez, the team hoped the best for the young star.

“With utmost respect, we wish him all the best in the future of his career. Thank you for raising the black and yellow banner and more importantly, the flag of the Philippines. All the best, Champ!”

The said development coincides with the M3 World Championship series just kicked off in Singapore where the country is being represented by two-time MPL PH champion Blacklist International and Onic PH.
