Abueva missing upon Phoenix arrival in PBA Clark Bubble
Phoenix Super LPG squad had set foot in PBA Clark Bubble without power forward Calvin Abueva despite having passed all requirements for his reinstatement.
The 6-foot-2 player won’t be joining the Fuel Masters just yet as the team arrived in Clark Freeport Zone in Angeles, Pampanga.
Despite completing all the requirements, Abueva will have to wait longer as the league discussed that there still remains a process.
The 30-year-old was initially included in the squad’s 25-man lineup, but since Abueva is still suspended he cannot so far enter the bubble game.
The Fuel Masters will cover the mercurial forward’s absence with the chance to step up to succeed in the upcoming season.
With former head coach Louie Alas bids farewell, the interim head coach Topex Robinson will man the sidelines.
The Phoenix Super LPG was the second team to enter the bubble subsequent to the Magnolia Hotshots.
Despite Abueva’s absence, the Phoenix squad is ready to head into the upcoming PBA bubble war zone as Robinson encourages the team to bring forth their A-game.
While the other teams are expected to enter the bubble in the following days.
