ALL students, even those without Covid19 jabs, can join face-to-face classes in Cagayan De Oro and Misamis Oriental, the Department of Education said.

The decision was made as part of DepEd’s non-discriminatory policy in accepting children, Lorebina Carrasco, the city’s assistant schools division superintendent, said.

“We used to have a Set A and Set B, where A is a class for those who were unvaccinated, but we canceled it because it can be discriminatory,” Carrasco said.

She said that students planning to join in-person classes must submit a signed waiver from their parents.

The DepEd official gave assurances that minimum health standards will be followed during the classes.

“The number of students in a classroom depends on the area of the classroom, but it should not exceed 20,” Carrasco said.
