SULU STATE COLLEGE, DICT TRAIN BADJAO YOUTH
THE SULU State College and the Department of Information and Communications Technology joined hands to provide technology training to the Badjao youth.
The SSC on Monday said that the project, dubbed as “Innovating IP’s Badjaos into Digital Practitioner,” will train youth from Barangay Takut-Takut.
It added that they will be given Basic Computer Operation Training at SSC’s Tech4Ed center.
“With the goal of the college in providing opportunities in every sector of the community, a 4-day training for our dear Badjaos with the goal to technologically capacitate them,” SSC said on Facebook.
“This is also aligned with the vision and mission of DICT to reach every Filipino including the disadvantaged areas in the country,” it added.
An opening ceremony was conducted to mark the event where officials from SSC and the barangay, along with the participants, met.
