SDO TOLEDO HOLDS EARLY GRADE LITERACY TRAINING
THE SCHOOLS Division of Toledo City in Cebu conducted a three-day literary and numeracy training for teachers to enhance the implementation and delivery of the kindergarten curriculum.
The training on Early Grade Literacy and Numeracy Strategies and Accommodation of Kids with Learning Delays was held from July 17-19, 2023 at the North Central School and was attended by 103 teachers from all districts.
The training aimed to sustain the effectiveness and efficient implementation and delivery of kindergarten curriculum. It also featured collaborative discussions on domains of literacy, fundamentals of early literacy, developing literacy skills, and developing early numeracy skills of learners with learning difficulties.
Dr. Ma. Kenneth Nengasca, chief Education Supervisor of the Curriculum Implementation Division, said that the program would give instructors “learning updates” so they could stay current on developments in the teaching profession.
She thanked the teachers for their performance and dedication in education delivery during the peak of the pandemic.
“Amidst the difficulties encountered or faced during the pandemic, I know that you — the Kindergarten teachers — are really very much affected. In our basic education plan, this past year was really devoted to address or to really find ways on how we can get back to normal,” Nengasca said.
