NORTHERN SAMAR YOUTH LEADERS HOLD LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
YOUTH leaders from Northern Samar held a leadership summit in partnership with soldiers of the 3rd Infantry of the Philippine Army early this month.
A total of 74 youth leaders joined the event with the theme “Kabataan Aturgaran para sa Kauswagan ug Kalinaw” held in San Isidro National High School.
The activity aimed to strengthen the resolve of the youth in pursuing their roles and responsibilities in society, promote awareness on social and environmental issues and educate them on the dangers of illegal drugs and deceptive recruitment of the Communist Terrorist Group.
Maj. Gen. Andrew Costelo, commander of the 7ID, lauded soldiers for helping develop the leadership potential and intensifying the awareness of the youth on CTG recruitment.
The activity highlighted the importance of youth engagement in the community and the development of their leadership potential.
It also sought to show the importance of interpersonal relationship between and among other leaders.
