DEPED OFFICE IN CENTRAL VISAYAS PREPARES FOR F2F CLASSES
THE DEPARTMENT of Education office in Central Visayas has prepared over 90 schools in the region for the possible conduct of limited face-to-face classes.
DepEd Regional Director Dr. Salustiano Jimenez said that they continue to make preparations for physical classes.
“If the President will allow for the limited face-to-face, then we are ready with our pilot schools,” Jimenez said.
He listed the requirements for a school to be allowed to conduct face-to-face classes — the permission of parents-teachers associations, a resolution from the local government unit where the school is located, and strict observance of health protocols.
“However, it is not compulsory. Even if there is a resolution from the PTA by the time that the limited face-to-face will be implemented and there are parents, who will not allow their children to attend the class, then we will not force them,” Jimenez said.
Students not allowed by their parents to join face-to-face classes can continue with their studies using other modalities.
Jimenez said face-to-face classes will be held in areas with zero Covid19 cases.
