THE DEPARTMENT of Education office in Region 7 held an assembly as part of the preparation for the holding of the National Conference for Campus Journalism.

The journalism conference is scheduled on August 11 to 13, 2021.

DepEd-7 Director Salustiano Jimenez said the conference is a good opportunity for student journalists to continue to hone their talents despite the pandemic-induced lockdown.

“DepEd is also trying our best for this. So that the honing of the talents of our learners will be continued especially in writing and communication,” he said.

“To all our learners, our participants and our teachers and supervisors, laban lang… We’ll continue this activity in a different way,” he added.

Last year’s National Schools Press Conference and National Festival of Talent were held in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Valley and Ilagan City, Isabela from March 9 to 13.
