CENTRAL VISAYAS PARENTS PUSH FOR F2F CLASSES — DEPED OFFICIAL
PARENTS in Central Visayas want their children to attend limited face-to-face classes, an education official said.
Department of Education Central Visayas Director Salustiano Jimenez shared that during his visit to the Siocon Elementary School in Bogo City, he noticed that parents who were initially hesitant to let their children join in-person learning are now requesting that their children be included.
Jimenez said that the pilot implementation of in-person classes in the region was successful.
On November 23, DepEd reported that there were no cases of Covid19 since the start of the limited face-to-face classes in select schools.
Education Secretary Leonor Briones commended the stakeholders for the safe implementation of physical classes.
“We would like to commend the tremendous efforts that our valued stakeholders have provided for the successful and safe pilot run of limited face-to-face classes. The involvement of everybody is crucial to the expansion of the implementation,” she said.
