BACOLOD CITY TURNS OVER GADGETS TO DEPED
THE BACOLOD City government turned over on Sunday 1,280 gadgets and laptops to the Department of Education for distance learning.
The gadgets will be released to teachers and students of the Bacolod City National High School.
Councilor Renecito Novero said that teachers who will be given laptops are those handling special subjects.
“For now, the concentration is in the area of Bacolod City National High School for expanding, developing and building up the potentials of our students. It’s an investment for our students,” he said.
Bacolod Schools Division Superintendent Gladys Amylaine Sales thanked officials of the city for granting their request for 1,000 android tablets for special science classes (Grades 3-6), STE (Grades 7-10), STEM (Grades 11-12), and selected special education learners.
The DepEd also received about 200 i5 laptops for teachers and personnel facilitating online/offline learning; 80 i7 laptops for teachers/personnel developing, editing, quality-assuring curriculum materials for blended learning and online learning/broadcasting.
