26 MORE SCHOOLS IN LEYTE TO HOLD F2F CLASSES
TWENTY-SIX additional schools in Leyte will soon hold face-to-face classes, the Department of Education said.
These include five schools in Barugo, two in Tanauan, six in Palo, four in Abuyog, four in Bato, four in Mayorga, and one in Mahaplag.
These campuses join the 18 public and private institutions that began in-person classes on February 21 and the 12 others that resumed classes on March 1.
All teachers who conduct face-to-face classes are fully vaccinated.
“We are targeting to open more schools for limited face-to-face class almost every week,” Leyte DepEd Schools Division Superintendent Manuel Albaño said.
He said that 154 schools across the province have asked to be allowed to hold face-to-face classes.
There are 1,355 public and private schools in the province.
Out of the 403,963 enrolled learners in the province, 2,167 students were enrolled in limited face-to-face lessons as of March 1.
