THE NATIONAL Youth Commission discussed the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 with youth organizations in Pangasinan.

The orientation was implemented in partnership with the Department of Education and the Commission on Higher Education.

The event was held during the Youth Organizations Registration Program Orientation and Training Workshop with the Sangguniang Kabataan, Local Youth Development Officers and Local Youth Development Council from April 17 to 19.

Salient features of Republic Act 8044 or the Youth in Nation Building Act were discussed, including the importance of YORP as well as LYDC roles and functions.

During the event, participants shared their insights on various concerns and issues affecting them.

SK Federation President Gabriel Tristan Fernandez welcomed the participants and guests, while Mayor Mary Claire Judith Phyllis Jose –Quiambao and Vice Mayor Ian Sabangan gave inspirational messages. Registration Certificates were distributed to the representatives of the eight newly registered organizations.
