EDUCATION Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio expressed her gratitude to all the teachers who helped during the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections on Monday.

“Taos-puso akong nagpapasalamat sa ating mga guro na naglingkod sa araw na ito. Inyong ipinakita ang tunay na diwa ng pagtutulungan at pagkakaisa upang masiguro ang isang honest, orderly, at peaceful na eleksiyon,” Duterte-Carpio said in a post.

The Vice President also reminded teachers if they got involved in an accident, whether election related or not, they can claim a Personal Accident Insurance from the GSIS, which takes care for all teaching and non-teaching personnel of the Department of Education.

Duterte-Carpio also congratulated those who won in the BSKE, while advising those who failed to win to continue helping their communities.

“Huwag sana nating kalimutan na hindi lamang sa posisyon makikita ang tunay na serbisyo. Sa bawat puso natin ay mayroong diwa ng bayanihan,” she said.
