THE EDUCATION webinar sponsored by the US Embassy in the Philippines was a success, an official said.

The embassy and the Department of Education collaborated on the undertaking wherein K-3 teachers and school administrators were given direction, methodology, new approaches, ideas, instructional materials, and resources to help them handle the needs and problems of students.

“The success of this webinar is a testament to the importance of early learning and to the great partnership between the US Embassy and DepEd,” US Embassy in the Philippines Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Heather Variava said.

“One of the most important things we do together as nations is expand opportunities for education, employment, and national development,” she added.

The Zoom sessions drew almost 3,000 K-3 teachers and school leaders from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

The event was launched on March 21.

It was the third collaboration between the US Embassy and DepEd since the pandemic hit.

A team of three American English language specialists provided guidance, methodology and instructional materials and resources to English teachers.
