UP LAW STUDENTS SHINE IN INT’L ENVIRONMENTAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION
LAW students from the University of the Philippines emerged as grand champions of the 26th Stetson Annual International Environmental Moot Court Competition Southeast Asian Regional Rounds.
LAW students from the University of the Philippines emerged as grand champions of the 26th Stetson Annual International Environmental Moot Court Competition Southeast Asian Regional Rounds.
The team composed of Raymond Shappit, Jasmin Althea Siscar, Isis Valencia, Bob Ecarma, and Michiko Lokin bested other Southeast Asian schools in claiming the title.
Shappit was declared Best Oralist of the final round and fifth Best Oralist overall.
Lokin, on the other hand, was named 4th Best Oralist.
Similarly, the team was awarded runner-up overall for the Best Memorial award.
As champions in the region, the UP students will represent Southeast Asia in the International Rounds hosted by Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida in April 2022.
The Stetson International Environmental Moot Court Competition is the world’s largest and devoted exclusively to global environmental challenges.
Since 1996, teams from around the world have participated in the competition.
