THE TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority said its online courses on food preparation are now accessible on mobile app.

TESDA Deputy Director General Aniceto Bertiz made the announcement as he led the launching of a mobile application for the self-paced online courses accessible in TESDA Online Program through e-tesda.gov.ph.

“I invite everyone to register in the TOP and enroll in its courses. These can be conveniently accessed anytime and anywhere through internet-enabled laptops, computers, and smartphones,” he said.

There are 150 TOP courses, including Bread and Pastry Production NC II, Cookery NC II, Food and Beverages NC II, and Food Processing NC II.

“Finishing these courses will not just help you upgrade your skills but also add a unique twist to your food. These skills can also lead to employment and business opportunities afterward,” Bertiz said.

TOP enrollees receive an electronic certificate of completion when they finish a course. Those who complete courses for full qualifications can undergo a competency assessment and receive a National Certificate.

TESDA also has regular courses delivered in flexible learning mode in public and private training institutions. These may be availed through the TESDA’s various scholarship programs.

“TESDA has a lot of programs that Filipinos can access anytime whether it will be online or delivered in training institutions. We hope that they utilize these platforms to further improve their skills,” Bertiz said.
