STARBUCKS PH OPENS FIRST COMMUNITY STORE IN MANILA
TO EMPOWER Filipino youth through education, Starbucks Philippines opened its first community store in Manila.
A portion of the store’s earnings will fund scholarships.
The initiative was made possible through partnership with two non-government organizations — Young Focus and AHA! Learning Center.
“This store is committed to supporting youth education in the community, where a portion of our proceeds directly support scholarships and after-school learning,” the coffee shop wrote on Facebook.
“Join us in shaping a promising tomorrow, one empowered mind at a time,” it added.
Several netizens commended Starbucks for the initiative.
“Will reshare this one. Ganda ng advocacy. Congrats, SB,” one netizen said.
“Wow! Congratulations. Beautiful and thank you for putting up Starbucks in the community of Tondo(our place),” another one added.
The store is located at 1601 J. Abad Santos Ave. Cor, 359 Bambang St., Tondo, Manila.
