SOUTHERN Leyte 2nd District Rep. Christopher “Coco” Yap is pushing for a bill to establish a Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Training and Accreditation Center in Hinunangan, Southern Leyte.

Yap’s House Bill 10920 aims to create the Hinunangan TESDA Training and Assessment Center.

Yap emphasized that Southern Leyte faces challenges related to unemployment and underemployment, particularly for those from disadvantaged families. The bill seeks to address these challenges by providing more accessible, high-quality technical-vocational education to residents of Hinunangan and neighboring municipalities in Southern Leyte.

The proposed center is expected to create a transformative impact on local communities, opening doors to new opportunities and paving the way for sustainable economic growth in the region.
