SENATOR SEEKS INTEGRATION OF ALL CAMPUSES OF PALAWAN STATE U
SENATOR Imee Marcos batted for the integration of all the external campuses of the Palawan State University-College of Community Resources Development.
In pushing for Senate bill 2391 or the proposed Palawan State University-College of Community Resources Development External Campuses Act, Marcos said she aims to enable the university to fulfill its commitment to upgrade the quality of life of the people by providing higher education through excellent instruction, research, extension, production services and transnational collaboration and innovations.
“PSU is an internationally recognized university that provides relevant and innovative education and research for lifelong learning and sustainable development,” she said in her explanatory note.
PSU has 19 campuses in Palawan. The main campus is in Tiniguiban, Puerto Princesa City.
Under the measure, the governance of the campuses shall be vested exclusively on the Board of Regents of the PSU.
The University president shall exercise overall supervision and management of the campuses.
The PSU-CCRD External Campuses in the Province of Palawan and in the City of Puerto Princesa shall each be headed by a campus administrator.
