SCHOOLS TO BE EMPOWERED WITH SOLAR ENERGY, RELIABLE INTERNET
APPROXIMATELY 300 off-grid schools will receive solar energy, reliable internet, and digital learning tools to enhance education in remote areas.
This follows the official partnership signing between the Department of Education and Aboitiz Foundation, Inc.
According to DepEd, the initiative, dubbed “AuroraPH,” aims to improve learning outcomes in underserved areas by enhancing learning environments.
“Naniniwala kami na ang digitalization at technology ang susi natin sa mas maliwanag at mas magandang kinabukasan para sa libo-libong mag-aaral,” said DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara.
The agency also expressed support for the Bagong Pilipinas vision, adding that “AuroraPH will empower schools with solar energy, reliable internet, and digital learning tools to enhance education in remote areas.”
“Through infrastructure upgrades and teacher training, it will ensure sustainable, tech-enabled classrooms for the future,” DepEd further stated.
