SAN JUAN HONOR STUDENTS RECEIVE CASH INCENTIVES
THE CITY government of San Juan gave financial incentives to honor students enrolled in the city’s public schools.
A total of 524 students — 187 graduating students from Grade 6, 195 from Grade 10, and 142 from Grade 12 — received financial incentives.
“San Juan City is very proud of our student achievers. This is to let them know that the Local Government of San Juan values education and we put those who work hard in their studies in high esteem,” Mayor Francis Zamora said.
Grade 12 students who finished with highest honors received P10,000, those with high honors received P7,000 and those with honors took home P5,000.
Meanwhile, the city granted Grade 10 students with highest honors P7,000, those with high honors P5,000 and with honors P3,000.
Grade 6 students received P5,000, P3,000, and P2,000, respectively.
Meanwhile, the city government will issue school and PE uniforms, free internet and WiFi to public schools and Smart TVs for every classroom. There are 13 public schools in San Juan City.
The local government will continue to provide free fiber optic internet connection to every household, as well as gadgets like tablets to all students and laptops for Grade 3 and 6 students of Pinaglabanan Elementary School.
