PASAY STUDENTS GET CASH ALLOWANCE
THE CITY government of Pasay has started distributing cash assistance to elementary and high school students.
Under the Financial Assistance Program, each student will receive P3,000.
The city government said that 6,453 will receive the cash aid.
The beneficiaries are 4,174 students of the Timoteo Paez Elementary School, 2,279 students of Pasay City North High School-Tramo, and students enrolled under the Alternative Learning Systems.
The city government started distributing the cash aid on September 16.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the P3,000 was the accumulated monthly allowance of the students for the last three remaining months of the previous school year.
Rubiano said that the city will also hand out P1,000 cash allowance to 5,000 travel city scholars enrolled in 54 private schools in Pasay.
Earlier, the city government distributed financial assistance to 45,556 students of 24 public schools from September 2 to 7.
