THE DEPARTMENT of Education said that 930 private schools nationwide were nominated to conduct face-to-face classes.
THE DEPARTMENT of Education said that 930 private schools nationwide were nominated to conduct face-to-face classes.
Education Secretary Leonor Briones said that there are 29,980 schools nationwide that are qualified to conduct face-to-face lessons, 930 of them private schools.
Out of the 29,980 institutions nominated, 26,921 are now holding limited in-person classes.
The DepEd chief encouraged private schools to start holding physical classes too.
“We are a democratic country and we give space and we value the contributions of private schools,” Briones said.
“We also respect whatever decisions they make but we urge them really to restart already the opening of face-to-face classes but that would involve the parents,” she added.
