CAMARINES Sur 2nd District Representative Luis Raymund Villafuerte Jr. filed a measure that seeks to strengthen the youth’s sense of patriotism through the curriculum.

House Bill 10371 aims to introduce a fundamental program for Grades 1 to 12 and a specialized program for senior high school.

These programs will teach patriotism, nationalism, moral values, and a strong sense of bayanihan among learners.

The fundamental program includes Physical Fitness, Arts and Cultural Heritage, Community Outreach, Basic Disaster, Cultural Heritage, Community Outreach, Basic Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, and Basic Security.

Meanwhile, the specialized program provides advanced and dedicated training to hone the students’ skills in security, survival, public service, and career development.

The measure covers students in public and private schools.
