‘JUANDER TITSER’ GOES ON AIR IN ILIGAN CITY
THE NEW companion of learners in Iligan City as they begin classes in the new normal will be aired in the first week of September.
As part of the distance and blended learning, the first public school radio station 101.1 DXCITY HIGH led by Rex L. Razo, principal of Iligan City National High School, was formally laid out.
The facility will complement other initiatives to be used in the delivery of education amid the coronavirus pandemic.
From Monday to Friday, high school learners will be accompanied by “Juander Titser” to guide them on the lessons from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Aside from DXCITY HIGH, DepEd-Iligan City also partnered with 96.1 Friends Radio for “Radyo Eskwela” which will air radio-based instruction to all grade levels. The on-air class will hit the airwaves for four hours from Monday to Saturday. This is funded by Iligan City Rep. Frederick W. Siao.
Meanwhile, the printing of learning modules is ongoing in preparation for the opening of classes on October 5. Siao’s office donated 120 printers as well as bond papers for the production of modules.
DepEd-Iligan City has also a partnership with Southern Cable Vision Inc. for the airing of TV lessons as part of the blended learning.
