/ 30 October 2020

THE GOVERNMENT Service Insurance System has donated a Toyota Revo and computers to the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority to help the agency train residents in remote areas.

In his message during the virtual signing of the deed of transfer between the two agencies on October 27, 2020, TESDA chief Isidro Lapeña shared how GSIS has been very helpful to the agency.

“In our series of meetings we’ve had since last year, the GSIS has never said no to anything we’ve requested from them,” Lapeña said.

Under its Social Responsibility Program, GSIS has been active in responding to TESDA’s insurance claims and even installed GSIS wireless automated processing system kiosk in the TESDA Central Office.

GSIS President and General Manager Rolando Macasaet said that his agency is glad to be of help to TESDA.

“GSIS is always willing to support TESDA. For example, iyan pong Toyota Revo, magagamit ninyo po ito para sa ‘automotive’; ‘yung computers, pwedeng gamitin iyan for your ‘computer repair’ courses,” Macasaet added.

Lapeña said the GSIS’ donation is timely.

“TESDA has been working very hard to intensify our programs and services to help our countrymen face challenges brought by the pandemic. This will surely aid our TESDAns on the ground to immediately reach our kababayan and deliver training in the communities,” he noted.
