/ 29 March 2025

FORMER Senator and Caloocan mayoralty candidate Antonio Trillanes IV has unveiled a comprehensive education and welfare program, promising financial support for students, teachers, and families if elected.

Trillanes announced that students of the University of Caloocan City would receive a P2,000 monthly cash allowance to help with their educational expenses.

Meanwhile, public school teachers in Caloocan would receive a P1,000 monthly rice subsidy, in addition to a P2,000 monthly augmentation allowance.

“We will also provide scholarships with allowances for technical-vocational courses to ensure that more students have access to quality education and employment opportunities,” Trillanes said.

To further support low-income families, he pledged to increase the number of beneficiaries under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Caloocan.

For infrastructure development, Trillanes vowed to build more school buildings and classrooms, equip schools with computer laboratories, and provide other necessary learning materials.

Recognizing the needs of out-of-school youth, he also promised Alternative Learning Courses and regular leadership and sports programs to promote youth development.

“These initiatives are aimed at improving education and ensuring a better future for the people of Caloocan,” he said, urging voters to support his vision for the city.
