DEPARTMENT of Education Secretary Sonny Angara recently met with education leaders to discuss innovative Senior High School programs and revisions to the SHS curriculum.
The discussions took place during the recent EDCOM2 Inter-Agency meeting, in line with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s directive to maximize the potential of the Filipino people, according to DepEd.
Present at the meeting were Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Director General Kiko Benitez, Commission on Higher Education Commissioner Ethel Agnes Valenzuela, EDCOM2 Executive Director Karol Mark Yee, and other EDCOM2 and DepEd officials. Their talks centered on advancing SHS and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) education nationwide.
Additionally, FIRST College President Joaquin Quintos and Xavier School Nuvali Principal Arlene Choo presented their innovative SHS programs, offering recommendations to strengthen national policies on SHS and TVL programs.
